Various polls have shown that the impeaching hearings have done little to sway public opinion on impeachment and that independents are actually shifting against it.
So, in the end, what’s the point? This process will only fuel the partisan divide between Republicans and Democrats, and tear the country apart.
The 2020 election is now less than a year away. Let the people decide.
