One of the things I used to admire about Taylor Swift was she knew that her role was to entertain, not preach. For most of her career, she was mum about her politics. But, she dipped her toes into the political arena during the 2018 midterms and has since gone full-on crazy liberal. In her latest interview in Rolling Stone, she declared she’s now “obsessed” with politics.

Oh brother.

I never believed her to be conservative, but her silence on politics kept her from alienating a large portion of her audience, especially those who have been fans since her country music days. Coming out as a hardcore liberal seems like a bad business move.
