From Politico:
Jens Stoltenberg, secretary-general of NATO, said Sunday he believes President Donald Trump remains committed to the 70-year-old military alliance.
Speaking on “Fareed Zakaria GPS” in the aftermath of a NATO summit in London, Stoltenberg said, “I am confident that the U.S. will remain committed to NATO for several reasons. First of all, that is something the president has expressed, meeting the 28 other NATO leaders in London this week.“
Stoltenberg, a former prime minister of Norway, went on to say he saw deep support for NATO within the United States: “Second, I visited the U.S. Congress this spring, and it was very strong bipartisan support to NATO in the Congress. Thirdly, if you look at opinion polls United States, actually record-high support for NATO.”
